Top-seeded Kansas closed another successful season with a tough loss to Villanova, 64-59, in the Elite Eight on Saturday night at KFC Yum! Center in Louisville.
The second-seeded Wildcats led by seven at halftime and momentarily trailed by five on a couple of occasions in the second half, before regaining control and racing to victory.
Kansas, which actually outdid Nova in many statistical categories, certainly had its chances to claim the victory, but the combination of tough play from the Wildcats and a few shortcomings by the Jayhawks made this a victory belonging to Villanova.
Kansas finished its season with a 33-5 record. Here’s a look back at some of the final key sequences in KU’s last game.
