KU Sports Extra, On the Road: Jayhawks advance to Sweet 16

With a pair of victories in Des Moines, Iowa — Thursday and Saturday over Austin Peay and UConn — the Kansas University men’s basketball team advanced to its first Sweet 16 in three seasons.

KU now will play next Thursday in Louisville against the winner of No. 5 Maryland vs. No. 13 Hawaii (Sunday night 6:10 p.m.).
