**1 – Christian Braun -** Had KU won, Braun would be playing to be the MVP of this event on Sunday. He was sensational in almost every way and competed hard from start to finish on both ends. Without him, KU would’ve never built its lead or had a chance to come back from seven down late [in the 74-73 loss.][1]

**2 – Ochai Agbaji -** He led the Jayhawks in scoring for the fifth game in a row and made some clutch baskets. But he also missed a few too many free throws (3-of-7) and didn’t do much else on the stat sheet. Still, no one’s complaining about his hot start and what he’s giving this team right now.

**3 – Remy Martin -** Until the defense is there, he won’t climb much higher than this on any given night. But, offensively, he does enough — often at times when KU really needs it — to stay near the top. He finished with 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting in this one to turn in a solid day on offense. But his lack of discipline on defense led to too many easy points and opportunities for the Flyers.

**4 – Dajuan Harris Jr. -** He’s not giving KU much on offense or on the stat sheet, but he continues to play valuable minutes and be a reliable part of the equation on both ends. KU needs him to find a way to produce a little more, though.

**5 – Joseph Yesufu -** The Drake transfer had a stretch near the end of the first half that really impacted the game. He scored five points and shot 50% from the floor while playing just 5 minutes.

**6 – David McCormack -** He managed to stay on the floor for 25 minutes in this one, but his production and the way he looked still left a lot to be desired. He’s clearly in a funk and struggling to get out of it. KU desperately needs him to return to the form he had during the second half last season. Even getting to half of that level would be helpful. But with each rough game, reaching that point becomes a greater challenge.

**7 – Jalen Wilson -** Solid in his return from suspension on Thursday, Wilson scored just one point and missed all four of his shot attempts while grabbing just two rebounds in the loss to Dayton. With David McCormack struggling, KU needs him to do more than that.

**8 – Mitch Lightfoot -** Delivered two points, a few boards and a few fouls in 10 mostly quiet minutes. Per usual, though, you at least know that Lightfoot’s going to compete his tail off when he’s out there, even if it doesn’t lead to much in the way of production. Still, this wasn’t his best game, and his jumper from near the top of the key that came after he drained a similar shot was perplexing at best.

**9 – Zach Clemence -** Not the kind of game he was ready to play big minutes in, but he did deliver 3 points (on a banked-in 3-pointer, no less) during the 3 minutes he was out there. There have been cries for more minutes for Clemence with McCormack struggling. But you have to remember he is still a freshman and he’s really playing the 5 for the first time. So patience will be key with his development.

**10 – Bobby Pettiford -** No notable stats in two minutes.

**11 – Jalen Coleman-Lands -** Missed all three shot attempts in the 8 minutes he played.

**12 – KJ Adams -** No stats in his 1 minute.
