**No. 1 – Fish Smithson:** Returned from ankle injury and had a team-high 11 tackles, including one behind the line of scrimmage.
**No. 2 – Joe Dineen:** Capped strong second half of sophomore season with nine tackles, including one for a loss. Has potential to develop into all-conference linebacker.
**No. 3 – Ryan Willis:** It’s difficult to watch him and not wonder how well he could do with one receiver with game-breaking speed and with an offensive line that can supply consistent protection. Threw several accurate balls with strong zip and finished day 19 of 35 with 215 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Not a dual threat quarterback, he did scramble for a 21-yard gain.
**No. 4 – Tre’ Parmalee:** Had four receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown and was KU’s most reliable receiver all year, other than the one game he missed with a suspension.
**No. 5 – Bazie Bates IV:** Spent much of the season watching and trying to learn the complexities of Big 12 football. Played more and more in final weeks and saved his best game for last.
**No. 6 – Tevin Shaw:** Played a role in the defense performing better in the second half and finished with four tackles, one for an 8-yard loss.
**No. 7 – Bobby Hartzog:** Made a terrific catch near the left boundary of the end zone for a 26-yard touchdown.
**No. 8 – Damani Mosby:** Teamed with Anthony Olobia on a sack and generally looked more active late in the season than early.
**No. 9 – De’Andre Mann:** Averaged 6.8 yards on his six carries in final game of two-year KU career. Always ran hard and set good example for younger teammates.
**No. 10 – Taylor Cox:** Followed two-year juco career with four years at Kansas, sidelined half that time by injuries. Rushed for 47 yards and busted loose for a 26-yard gain.
