**1 – No Selection:** When Mark Mangino, once in a while, would say, “Defensive player of the week, so selection,” or, “Offensive player of the week, no selection,” or “Special teams player of the week, no selection,” I would think to myself, “Sombody must have played well.” Now I can relate.

**2 – Wayne Selden:** Made 4 of 5 three-pointers, but wasn’t able to exploit the much shorter Phil Forte closer to the basket. Missed a dunk and on another play, a break-away, he slowed himself down to set himself up for a dunk and missed when fouled. Did not get a single rebound in 33 minutes. Committed four turnovers and was without question as responsible as anybody for keeping KU in the game, hitting threes in clutch moments.

**3 – Frank Mason:** After big first half, had one point, one assist and one turnover in the final 20 minutes. In the last 57 seconds, he made just 1 of 3 free throws, missed a three and couldn’t finish through contact (no whistle) on a drive. Played terrific first half on his way to 10-point game with four assists, two turnovers and three steals. Didn’t get to the paint as often as he usually does, particularly in the first half.

**4 – Perry Ellis:** Made some nice offensive moves, but couldn’t finish at the rim well enough to score more than 10 points. Had 10 rebounds, but had he come down stronger with the ball could have had a few more. Forgettable double-double

**5 – Brannen Greene:** Oklahoma State made keeping him from shooting threes in the second half a big part of its focus and it worked. He made all three three-pointers in the first half, but missed both in the second half. Scored all 10 of his points in 13 first-half minutes. Looked as if he was too concerned with drawing a foul, rather than finishing through contact, on a shot in the final seconds. Needs to do a better job of keeping his man off the offensive glass. Had he done that better, he would have had more than six rebounds.

**6 – Cliff Alexander:** Did some nice bucket hanging for tip-ins in the first half, totaling eight points and four boards in 12 minutes. Four listless second-half minutes spelled the end to his day.

**7 – Jamari Traylor:** Hit the offensive boards, where he picked up four of his six rebounds, hard and had three steals, but looked rattled when handling the ball or passing it. Didn’t have any assists and had six turnovers.

**8 – Landen Lucas:** Had two rebounds, two personal fouls and one heck of a hustle play to save a possession in 12 minutes.

**9 – Devonte Graham:** Took a freight-train of a charge with a quick decision on the fly and tried to make things happen offensively, just couldn’t hit a shot or get to the paint. Scoreless in 14 minutes and had two turnovers to go with one assist and one steal. Missed all four shots, two from long range.

**10 – Kelly Oubre:** He’s at his best when he’s looking to make disruptive defensive plays and when crashing the offensive boards. He’s at his worst when in passive mode. In 14 minutes, scored one point and didn’t have an assist or a steal. Missed all three shots, two from three-point range.
