Marcus’ career day lands him top spot

By Staff     Jan 13, 2011

**1. Marcus Morris:** A brilliant basketball player put on a clinic in the various ways to score inside the arc. Tied Julian Wright’s record for points in a Big 12 game with 33, hitting 11 of 15 field goals and 11 of 14 free throws. Mixed in 13 boards and a pair of assists.
**2. Markieff Morris:** Contributed 17 points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots.

**3. Josh Selby:** Put up some questionable shots and committed three turnovers, but also made 2 of 5 three-pointers and finished with 14 points.

**4. Brady Morningstar:** For the most part did a nice job of hounding three-point threat Scott Christopherson and kept the ball moving well on offense, pitching in with four assists and a steal.

**5. Mario Little:** Obviously remained committed to staying in shape during his suspension. Battled hard underneath for 19 minutes and finished with eight points and four rebounds.

**6. Tyrel Reed:** Not his best night, he totaled three points, three assists, two steals and a blocked shot.

**7. Tyshawn Taylor:** Missed all three three-pointers and is shooting 28 percent from long distance. Was beaten badly on the dribble repeatedly by Diante Garrett. Hasn’t been the defensive stopper many figured he would be by this point in his career.

**8. Thomas Robinson:** Three personal fouls and three turnovers in six minutes didn’t help the cause.

**9. Elijah Johnson:** On a night Taylor didn’t have it, Johnson played just eight minutes. He still struggles to keep his man in front of him on defense.
