Distributor Tyshawn Taylor leads KU against TAMU-CC

**1. Tyshawn Taylor:** Stared at the box score and said to the teammates who flanked him at the postgame press conference table: “I only took five shots. I need to shoot more.” No, you don’t. He was terrific, keeping the game at the fast pace Kansas needed and playing superbly at both ends. He had nine assists, two turnovers and two steals and scored seven points.
**2. Thomas Robinson:** Contributed 15 points, five rebounds and three first-half dunks. He hit 7 of 8 shots and is averaging 11.8 points and eight rebounds in 17.5 minutes a game.

**3. Markieff Morris:** The consistent junior contributed nine points, 10 boards and superior defense.

**4. Brady Morningstar:** Got his swerve on — Matt Tait taught me that hip lingo; I’m getting there, G, — to the tune of six points and four steals while triggering many a fast break with his defense.

**5. Marcus Morris:** Flashed many an NBA move on his way to 12 points and five boards.

**6. Travis Releford:** Dunk you very much, Mr. Releford, for the crowd-pleasing reverse jam on the break. Hit five of six shots with two dunks and a three-pointer.

**7. Mario Little:** Smooth scoring underneath. Made 5 of 7 shots, lent reliable help defense, and got completely in the flow with teammates.

**8. Elijah Johnson:** Made a flashy dunk and missed one. Pitched in with seven assists in 19 minutes and hit a three-pointer.

**9. Tyrel Reed:** Made 2 of 4 three-point shots and had two turnovers.

**10. Jeff Withey:** Didn’t box out on a free throw and generally needs to get better on the defensive boards. Contributed two blocks and two assists in six minutes.

**11. Royce Woolridge:** Had an assist in four minutes and missed his only shot, a three-pointer, making him 1 of 3 from long range on the season.
