Despite defensive struggles, Xavier tops ratings

By Staff     Feb 27, 2010

**1. Xavier Henry:** Was torched by James Anderson, but so was everybody else who attempted to guard him. Showing good aggressiveness, he scored 14 of his 17 points in the second half. By stuffing his three-point shot attempt, Anderson showed Henry what will happen to him in the NBA if he doesn’t stay another year in college to work on quickening his release.

**2. Markieff Morris:** None of the inside players played particularly well but he was probably the best of them, pitching in with six points and four rebounds in 22 minutes.

**3. Sherron Collins:** Scoreless in the first 14 minutes of the game, he finished with team-high 22 points, but this game was lost in the first 14 minutes. Had six turnovers.

**4. Marcus Morris:** Fouled out with 10 points and just three rebounds.

**5. Cole Aldrich:** Uninspiring performance with just five rebounds earned him just eight second-half minutes.

**6. Tyshawn Taylor:** Made both three-point attempts, but didn’t get to the rim as often as the matchup suggested he could have.

**7. Tyrel Reed:** Three points and three steals in 16 minutes. Sometimes passes up shots he should take.

**8. Brady Morningstar:** Scoreless in this game and 0 for 8 from long distance in the past five games. Confidence looks shaken.

**9. Jeff Withey:** Picked up a rebound and a personal foul in minute of first-half action.

**10. Thomas Robinson:** Played just a minute.
