Collins edged out for top spot in ratings

By Staff     Nov 19, 2009

1. Marcus Morris: Moved his feet great on defense, frustrating foes attempting to blow by him on the perimeter. Also mixed in 12 points, four rebounds, three steals, two assists and a blocked shot.

2. Sherron Collins: Thinking like a point guard, Collins looked as if he was particularly interested in setting up teammate Xavier Henry, who was coming off a rough game. That’s called being a leader, a good teammate. Finished with 12 points, three assists and three steals.

3. Tyrel Reed: He was on fire, hitting 4 of 5 three-pointers and set up big men for easy buckets. He shared team honors with 12 points and added three assists and a steal.

4. Markieff Morris: Made all four shots from the field and had three assists.

5. Xavier Henry: Bounced back well from a bad night against Memphis with 12 points and three assists.

6. Thomas Robinson: Dominated the glass with 11 rebounds in 18 minutes. Also scored eight points and had three blocks. Took a bad shot and rushed others but also lit up the crowd with a great follow dunk.

7. Cole Aldrich: Quiet night by his standards but still had three blocks in 24 minutes.

8. Elijah Johnson: Ultra-quick with good body control near the hoop, Johnson knows how to finish. Had seven points, three assists and two steals in 14 minutes. Also committed four fouls.

9. C.J. Henry*: Showed off nice jumper, hitting 2 of 3 three-pointers. Scored eight points in nine minutes.

10. Tyshawn Taylor: Made just 1 of 6 shots, making him 3 of 14 on the season.
* — Note: C.J. Henry, though he is a walk-on, will be included in the Keegan ratings.
