Sherron quite the sub starter

_After each KU basketball game this season, this is where you can find out the hardwood equivalent of The Nielsen Ratings from Journal-World sports editor Tom Keegan. He’ll rate the Jayhawk **scholarship players’ individual performances**, telling you who was worth tuning in to watch. If you agree or maybe even differ, make sure to comment and tell Tom how you really feel. (**Scoring**: Each week, the top player in the ratings will be awarded 10 points. Second best gets nine points. Third best gets eight points, and so on and so on. The season standings are at the bottom)_**1. Sherron Collins**: Responded to starting assignment in place of injured Mario Chalmers with an 18-point effort and even took Chalmers’ place in the steals department with three. Did a nice job of speeding up the team.**2. Sasha Kaun**: Has adapted well to the bench role. He totaled 14 points and eight rebounds in 19 minutes. Made 6 of 8 free throws. Repeat: Made 6 of 8 free throws.**3. Darnell Jackson**: Toughing his way through back woes, Jackson contributed nine points, nine boards and characteristic positive energy in 21 minutes.**4. Darrell Arthur**: Blocked three shots with authority, but would have scored more if he powered up instead of tossing up wayward hook shots.**5 Jeremy Case**: Had eight points, three assists and two steals in eight minutes, and wasn’t pleased with his performance, stressing he played poor defensively.**6. Russell Robinson**: Not his best effort, as evidenced by three turnovers.**7. Brandon Rush**: Bill Self has grown weary with him for not being aggressive enough offensively and went public with his three-year frustration about that issue.**8. Rod Stewart**: A skilled passer, solid defender and strong rebounder for a guard, he does everything pretty well, except shoot three-pointers accurately (3 for 12). **9. Cole Aldrich**: Good news: He gets a lot of rebounds. Bad news: Many are off of his own misses.**10. Tyrel Reed**: Hasn’t yet restored confidence he showed pre-ankle injury, but he’ll get there.**The Keegan Ratings: Season Standings (based on average points)** **1.** Darnell Jackson **8.07** (121 points, 15 games) **2.** Mario Chalmers **7.14** (100 points, 14 games) **3.** Darrell Arthur **6.47** (97 point, 15 games) **4.** Russell Robinson **6.40** (96 points, 15 games) **5.** Brandon Rush **6.08** (79 points, 13 games) **6.** Sherron Collins **6.00** (54 points, 9 games) **7.** Sasha Kaun **5.60** (84 points, 15 games) **8.** Rod Stewart **4.47** (67 points, 15 games) **9.** Cole Aldrich **3.93** (59 points, 15 games) **10.** Tyrel Reed **3.82** (42 points, 11 games) **11.** Jeremy Case **2.38** (31 points, 13 games)
