_After each KU basketball game this season, this is where you can find out the basketball equivalent of The Nielsen Ratings from Journal-World sports editor Tom Keegan. He’ll rate the Jayhawks’ individual performances from top to bottom, telling you who was worth tuning in to watch and who has seen better days. If you agree or maybe even differ, make sure to comment and tell Tom how you really feel._**1. Brandon Rush**: The nation’s most versatile defender did it again, switching onto the hot hand, in this case Iowa State’s 6-foot-2 Mike Taylor, and cooling him down. Rush changed the outcome of this game more than any single player has all season for Kansas. **2. Mario Chalmers**: His shot wasn’t dropping, but he compensated by hitting all five free throws, grabbing seven rebounds and doing a nice job of hitting the open man (four assists) and taking care of the basketball (one turnover). **3. Sasha Kaun**: He missed all but one of his five free throws and opened the game by committing two fouls on the perimeter, but he more than made up for those sins by playing big at both ends of the floor. He led the team in scoring with 13 points. **4. Sherron Collins**: He couldn’t stop Taylor, was caught out of position on defense repeatedly, but did juice the offense with hard drives to the hoop he finished. **5. Darrell Arthur**: He blocked a couple of shots, but didnt get it done particularly well on the boards. **6. Russell Robinson**: He couldn’t slow down Iowa State’s Mike Taylor, which necessitated the defensive switch. **7. Julian Wright**: His hands were slippery throughout this one. He had seven turnovers and one assist to go with eight points and 12 rebounds. He has played five games since Christmas. In one of those, against Rhode Island, he scored 23 points. In the other four, he has totaled 22 points. **8. Darnell Jackson**: Late in the second half, instead of dunking with nobody near him, Jackson put it off the glass, missed the shot, was removed immediately and never returned. **The Keegan Ratings: Season Standings (total points and average rank)** **1.** Mario Chalmers (52, 17 games) 3.06 **T-2.** Julian Wright (59, 17 games) 3.47 (**_drops to tie for second with Rush_**) **T-2.** Brandon Rush (59, 17 games) 3.47(**_jumps to tie for second with Wright_**) **4.** Darrell Arthur (73, 17 games) 4.29 **5.** Sherron Collins (87, 17 games) 5.12 **6.** Russell Robinson (90, 17 games) 5.29 **7.** Sasha Kaun (75, 14 games) 5.36 **8.** Darnell Jackson (103, 17 games) 6.06 **9.** Rodrick Stewart (113, 13 games) 8.69 **10.** Brady Morningstar (67, 7 games) 9.57 **11.** Jeremy Case (77, 8 games) 9.63 **12.** Matt Kleinmann (73, 7 games) 10.43 **13.** Brennan Bechard (51, 4 games) 12.75 **14.** Brad Witherspoon (53, 4 games) 13.25
