Summer’s over. And this ain’t your typical edition of The Greene Room. Instead, gotta get some promotional stuff out of the way, to get you even more pumped about actual games starting Saturday afternoon.Anyway, back to the whole ‘summer being done’ thing. That’s a realization which set in this past Saturday, which was a perfect summer day – played some hoops, killed off some time while bonding with the XBOX and took in a little night life in downtown Lawrence.Gone are those days for the next few months. And that’s not a bad thing at all.See, summer was productive, too, as we’ve developed some new ideas for this upcoming season in the world of KU athletics coverage. Here is a look at the improvements we’re going to roll out starting this Saturday to our award-winning gameday coverage.**Greene on Gameday** – A new podcast which will be available the morning of each game, where KUSports.com editor [Ryan Greene][1] will give you a last-second crash course, giving you everything you need to know before heading to the stadium/field house or sitting on the couch with a cold one.**Live Game Updates** – Can’t be there? Got to work? As always, you can stay up to date with the play-by-play action with every KU football and men’s basketball game on KUSports.com with our live, running updates.**The Greene Room: Live** – On top of game updates as the minutes melt off the clock, get up-to-the-second analysis, as Ryan Greene takes [The Greene Room][2] to the press box and courtside.**The Fifth Quarter/Extra Minutes** – Returning for its second season on KUSports.com, a special postgame analysis package bringing you all of the key moments from the day’s action, and how they affect what’s to come for the Jayhawks.**The Keegan Ratings** – Last basketball season, Journal-World sports editor Tom Keegan unveiled [this postgame blog][3], which during the course of the season ranked who was most valuable for the ‘Hawks, game-by-game. By season’s end, it had been one wild ride, with plenty of flipping and flopping. This year, Keegan brings back the hoops ratings, but will also debut a football version, awarding points each week towards the season standings to the Jayhawks’ top ten performers in each contest.**Sawin’ Wood** – Journal-World KU football beat writer’s new [off-the-beaten-path blog][4] will give you some extra grit and grime left over from the day’s action on the field.**Postgame audio** – As always, KUSports.com brings you to the press conferences and locker rooms after each game, with exclusive audio from coaches and players.**Spodcasters: Postgame edition** – Your favorite [KU sports-driven podcast][5] will now be coming to you more frequently than ever. After each game, that is.**Archived gameday coverage** – If you missed a game, having slept through it or whatnot, all of our gameday coverage will be archived in our [‘Live from…’][6] section. And….breathe out. That should cover everything. This has the potential to be a memorable year on Mount Oread. For the best coverage, analysis and all the extras, remember, there’s no better source for whatever it is you need than KUSports.com.**_KUSports.com editor Ryan Greene can be reached at rgreene@ljworld.com, or by phone at (785) 832-6357._** [1]: http://www2.kusports.com/staff/ryan_greene/ [2]: http://www2.kusports.com/blogs/greene_room/ [3]: http://www2.kusports.com/blogs/keegan_ratings/ [4]: http://www2.kusports.com/blogs/sawin_wood/ [5]: http://www2.kusports.com/podcasts/spodcasters/ [6]: http://www2.kusports.com/live_from/home/
