Make that two tight ends in two days set to join the Kansas football program.

Albany transfer Carter Moses announced his commitment to KU on Saturday afternoon, following the Jayhawks’ addition of Old Dominion transfer Jailen Butler on Friday.

The duo gives the Jayhawks some new options to throw into the mix with returning contributors Carson Bruhn and Leyton Cure, all on what will undoubtedly be a tight-end-heavy offense under offensive coordinator Jim Zebrowski, co-offensive coordinator/tight ends coach Matt Lubick and newly hired associate head coach Andy Kotelnicki.

Moses is the second former Great Dane to pick KU in two years after his former teammate Levi Wentz, a wide receiver who played one year in Lawrence. Moses is originally from Wilmington, North Carolina, where he attended Hoggard High School, and spent four years at Albany, including one redshirt season. He will use his final year of eligibility at KU.

His role gradually increased each season with the Great Danes. As a true freshman he appeared in two games without a catch, and as a redshirt freshman he played in 13 games but caught just four passes for 47 yards. Then came 16 catches for 126 yards and a touchdown in 2024, and most recently 27 catches for 338 yards and three scores.

He will provide another big target, at 6-foot-5 and 241 pounds, for whoever wins the Jayhawks’ starting job at quarterback. Between the two acquisitions at tight end (not to mention two incoming freshmen at the position) and Buffalo transfer wide receiver Nik McMillan, KU has brought in several proming new options for either Cole Ballard or Isaiah Marshall to deploy next season.
