The Iowa State women won the 2020 Big 12 Conference Cross Country Championship and the Oklahoma State men needed a tiebreaker to beat out the Cyclones for the league title Friday at Rim Rock Farm.
KU’s men’s team placed fifth at the postseason race, as senior Ben Butler (23:45.9) finished 13th in the 8K and was named to the All-Big 12 team.
The KU women, led by sophomore Lona Latema (21:30.2 in the 6K), took seventh in the Big 12 team standings. Latema earned All-Big 12 honors for the first time in her career.
