The Kansas women’s basketball program released its 2020-21 schedule on Monday, and Brandon Schneider’s Jayhawks will open on the first down allowed by the NCAA, Nov. 25 at home against Northern Colorado.
KU will follow that up with a home game against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Nov. 29, before leaving Lawrence to open its road schedule at Ole Miss on Dec. 3.
That game at Ole Miss will be KU’s only road game of the seven-game nonconference slate.
The KU women will play 18 Big 12 Conference games, starting with Oklahoma at home on Dec. 10 and Texas on the road on Dec. 17.
The rest of KU’s Big 12 slate will take place in January and February, ahead of the Big 12 tournament in Kansas City, Mo., March 11-14.
The Jayhawks finished the 2019-20 season at 15-14 and were challenging for their first postseason appearance under Schneider.
Now in his sixth season in charge of the program, Schneider brings back 10 players from last year’s team and five newcomers heading into the 2020-21 season.
