A Houston native who didn’t play in any games for the Jayhawks during his third year with the program in 2018, Durley announced via social media he has transferred to Tennessee State University.

In an Instagram post that included a photo of Durley standing on the field inside Nissan Stadium, in Nashville, Tenn., where FCS program TSU plays some of its home games, the offensive lineman described himself as “so thankful” for his time at KU.

“I learned so much about myself, the game of football, had great coaches and built many lifelong relationships,” Durley wrote.

Rated a two-star prospect by Rivals in the Class of 2015, Durley didn’t join KU until the spring of 2016. As a freshman, Durley played sparingly. He went on to redshirt in 2017. Durley didn’t play in a single game for KU in 2018, his redshirt sophomore season.

Before entering the transfer portal this past spring, Durley was most recently listed on KU’s roster at 6-foot-6 and 315 pounds.
