Kansas baseball ended an 11-game losing streak with a 9-4 win over Missouri State on Wednesday at Hammons Field in Springfield, Missouri.
The Jayhawks (20-24) logged 12 hits as a team. Second baseman James Cosentino hit his fourth home run of the season and scored three runs. Catcher Jaxx Groshans recorded three hits and 4 RBIs.
KU’s pitching staff allowed four hits to Missouri State (27-14). Tyler Davis and Ryan Cyr each threw two innings of relief for starter Conner Vancleave.
KU will next play host to West Virginia in a three-game series. First pitch for Friday’s opener is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Hoglund Ballpark.
