KU men’s golf falls short of NCAA Championship

By J-W Staff Report     May 18, 2017

Kansas saved its best day for last at the men’s golf regional in Austin, but it wasn’t good enough for the Jayhawks to make it to the NCAA Championship.

Despite under-par rounds on the final day from Chase Hanna, Charlie Hillier and Andy Spencer, Kansas could climb no higher than eighth and needed to be in the top five to advance.

Playing his final tournament for Kansas, Hanna, the Big 12 individual champion, was the team’s highest finisher at the regional, finishing tied for 31st at 6-over par in the three-round tournament.
