Austin, Texas ? The Kansas women’s basketball team never found a rhythm offensively Saturday, shooting 21 percent from the floor in a 75-42 loss to 10th-ranked Texas at Frank Erwin Center.
The Jayhawks (8-17, 2-12 Big 12) were outscored, 46-8, in the paint and gave up 26 second-chance points on the Longhorns’ 22 offensive rebounds.
Texas (20-4, 14-0) had a 59-30 rebounding edge and led by 18 points at halftime.
Jessica Washington paced KU with 15 points and Kylee Kopatich added 14. No other player scored more than four.
Kansas will face Texas Tech next week.
