Kansas guard Devonte Graham is all smiles as he exits the airport after the Jayhawks arrived in Honolulu for the Armed Forces Classic, Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016. The Jayhawks will play Indiana University at 8 p.m. Friday.

? For the second November in a row, the Kansas men’s basketball team landed safely in Hawaii on Tuesday, right around 8 p.m. central time, three days ahead of its regular season opener with No. 11 Indiana in the Armed Forces Classic.

KU won the Maui Invitational last November.

Even though they went commercial, the Jayhawks traveled in style to Honolulu today and were split up onto three planes, two of which went through Atlanta and the third which went through Salt Lake City.

After arriving and grabbing their luggage, the Jayhawks hurried off to a Welcome Event at Pearl Harbor and will check into their hotel on Waikiki Beach around 7 p.m. local time.

Kansas will spend a good chunk of the day Wednesday touring Naval ships, doing community outreach work and visiting Pearl Harbor up close and personal a little less than a month before the 75th anniversary of the attack.

The rest of the time will be spent prepping for Friday’s showdown with Indiana.

Arizona and Michigan State will square off in the early game on Friday and all four teams arrived at the Honolulu airport on the island of Oahu at roughly the same time, making for a festive welcome-to-the-islands moment for all.
