Kansas golfer third at Gator

? Kansas University senior women’s golfer Yupaporn Kawinpakorn claimed her fourth straight top-five finish Sunday when she tied for third at the SunTrust Gator Women’s Invitational at Mark Bostick Golf Course.

Kawinpakorn, one of just five golfers to shoot under par Sunday, finished at 4-over 214 to tie Florida State’s Morgane Metraux for third.

As a team, KU finished in 11th place at 63-over 903. Florida won with 22-over 862.

Other KU scores: Pornvipa Sakdee, tied for 28th, 224; Ariadna Fonseca Diaz, tied for 46th, 229; Pitsinee Winyarat, 73rd, 242; and Laine Evans, 745h, 244.

KU will play March 14-15 in the Arizona Wildcat Invitational in Tucson Ariz.
