Paramus, N.J. ? Kansas University women’s golfer Annika Cedo defeated Connor Beth Ball, 1 up, in the first round of match play Wednesday at the U.S. Girls Junior Championship at Ridgewood Country Club.
The incoming KU freshman from the Phillipines will face Jin Wen Lu of the People’s Republic of China in the round of 32 today. Lu defeated the United States’ Annie Kim, 5 and 4, on Wednesday to advance.
