Tinsley’s walkoff lifts KU baseball

Junior catcher Michael Tinsley hit a walkoff RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift Kansas University to a 7-6 baseball victory over Omaha on Wednesday at Hoglund Ballpark.

Tinsley, who was named one of 13 catchers on the Johnny Bench Award official watch list earlier Wednesday, also drove in the game’s first run.

KU (13-18) will play a three-game set Friday-Sunday at Texas.
