Beaty: KU football spring game set for April 25

By Matt Tait     Jan 31, 2015

Kansas University football coach David Beaty officially announced April 25 as the date for this year’s KU football spring game during a timeout at Saturday’s KU-K-State men’s basketball game at Allen Fieldhouse.

Beaty, who took the floor to introduce his entire coaching staff during the first official timeout of the game, grabbed the microphone and invited everyone to show up for the spring game. Realizing, of course, where he was, Beaty made sure to toss in a little hoops flare, too.

“First, though, let’s help coach Self and the boys beat the heck out of K-State,” Beaty said before leaving the floor.

Beaty and his staff welcomed 11 athletes to town or their official visits, with the game at Allen Fieldhouse being one of the main attractions of the weekend.

Beaty and the Jayhawks still have a few spots remaining to fill before next Wednesday’s national signing day.
