Sendish selected for all-star game

Kansas University safety Cassius Sendish has been selected to play in the Medal of Honor Bowl on Saturday on the campus of The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina.

Sendish will play for the American team in the 1:30 p.m. game, which will be televised on NBC Sports Network.

Sendish started all 24 games of his two-year KU career at safety. He ranked third on the team in 2014 with 69 total tackles, including 57 solo stops.

Sendish is one of three Jayhawks playing in postseason all-star games, joining linebacker Ben Heeney (East-West Shrine Game, Jan. 17) and JaCorey Shepherd (Senior Bowl, Jan. 24).
