KU baseball falls in extras

? For the third time in four days, Kansas University baseball suffered an extra-inning setback.

Saturday, Oklahoma took an 8-7, 10-inning victory to complete a sweep of their Big 12 series.

“We are really competitive right now,” KU coach Ritch Price said. “We are right there. We were better this weekend than we were last weekend and our pitching took a big step forward.”

Kansas (11-20 overall, 1-5 Big 12) outhit the Sooners, 14-12, but the Sooners (22-12, 6-3) were able to hand KU its fifth straight conference setback.

Kansas will host New Mexico on Tuesday at Wednesday.
