Hoylake, England ? Former Kansas University golfer Gary Woodland shot a 1-under 71 Sunday in the final round of the British Open and finished 1-under 287 in a tie for 39th place at Royal Liverpool.
Sunday, Woodland shot even-par on the front nine, offsetting a birdie on the par-5 No. 5 hole with a bogey on the par-3 No. 9.
He was 1-under on the back after birdieing the par-5 Nos. 10, 16 and 18 holes and bogeying the par-4 14th and 17th.
For the tournament, Woodland hit an eagle, 10 birdies, 51 pars, nine bogeys and a double bogey.
He earned $36,253.
