KU golfers 4th at Buckeye

? Kansas University’s women’s golf team ended the first day of the Lady Buckeye Invitational in a tie for fourth place, led by sophomore Yupaporn Kawinpakorn’s two-round total of 150 on Saturday.

KU opened with a 305 total, led by senior Thanuttra Boonraksasat’s first-round 74. The Jayhawks ended their day with a 307, led by Kawinpakorn’s 74. Kansas is tied with Purdue at 612, four strokes behind third-place Michigan State at 608 in the 12-team field.

Kawinpakorn began her day with a 76 and is tied for fourth after two rounds. Boonraksasat had a second-round 78, giving her a two round total of 152 and placing her in a tie for eighth in the 72-golfer field.

Jayhawk senior Meghan Potee is tied for 22nd after rounds of 78 and 77 for a 155 total.

Junior Minami Levonowich shot 79 and 78 and was tied for 31st. Freshman Pornvipa Sakdee shot 77 and 86 and was tied for 54th.
