By Staff Reports     May 18, 2013

? Kansas University golfer Chris Gilbert moved up nine places Friday after carding an even-par 72 in the second round of the NCAA Fayetteville Regional.

Gilbert, the only KU golfer competing in the postseason, is tied for 11th place overall with six other golfers.

Stephen F. Austin’s Mitchell McLeroy (two-round total of 140) is currently the top golfer not participating as part of a team, followed by Gilbert (145) and UT Arlington’s Paul McConnell (146). Only the lowest-scoring unaffiliated golfer after today’s final round will qualify for the NCAA championship.
