KU baseball upended by Nevada

? Nevada pinch hitter Brad Gerig’s two-strike double with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning plated the winning runs as the Wolf Pack rallied from three separate deficits in a wild 9-8 baseball victory over Kansas University on Monday at Hohokam Park.

The Jayhawks held leads of 6-2, 7-5 and 8-7 before Gerig’s winning base hit earned a series split for Nevada. Both teams moved to 2-2.

KU will host Northwestern at 3 p.m. Friday.
