Kansas University snapped a 21-match Big 12 tennis losing streak with a 6-1 victory over West Virginia on Friday at Jayhawk Tennis Center.
It was KU’s first conference dual win since April 2011.
West Virginia was short-handed one player and forced to forfeit the No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles matches, giving KU a 1-0 advantage to start the match. The Jayhawks then took one of the two doubles matches before winning four of five in singles to move to 1-7 in conference play this year (9-9 overall).
KU will hold its Senior Day match Sunday against Iowa State.
