Kansas women’s golfers in 8th at Pizza Cards

? Thanuttra Boonraksasat’s 4-over-par score of 148 led Kansas University’s women’s golf team to an eighth-place finish after Monday’s first day of the Sir Pizza Cards Challenge.

The Jayhawks head into today’s final round 38 strokes behind field-leading North Carolina State. Kansas shot a two-round total of 614 at the par-72, 6,106-yard Weston Hills course.

Boonraksasat, a sophomore from Thailand, shot 78-76-148 to tie for eighth in the individual race.

KU’s other scores: Kate Nugent, 78-72-150, tied for 15th; Meghan Potee, 77-81-158 and Audrey Yowell, 79-79-158, tied for 55th; Nadia Luttner 81-82-163, tied for 71st; and Gabriella DiMarco, competed as an individual, 82-82-165, tied for 74th.

The tournament will conclude with 18 holes today.
