KU XC teams move up in polls

Both the Kansas University men’s and women’s cross country teams moved up in this week’s Midwest Regional polls, announced Monday by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The KU women’s team, previously ranked seventh, rose to No. 6, while the men, who stood at No. 8, jumped Iowa to move to No. 7. Big 12 opponents Iowa State and Oklahoma State, as well as Minnesota, are listed as the top three teams on the women’s side. On the men’s side, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and Minnesota held their positions for the second straight week.
