Kansas University freshman soccer player Liana Salazar will compete for Colombia in today’s FIFA women’s World Cup game against Team USA in Germany. Colombia lost to Sweden, 1-0, in the first round.
Salazar arrived on KU’s campus in January. The Bogota, Colombia, native collected four assists and a goal in six spring matches.
Salazar has started for both the U-17 and U-20 Colombian teams, but this year is her first competing at the senior level.
