KU swimming wins Orange Bowl Classic

? Senior Iuliia Kuzhil and sophomore Monica Johannessen won two events, and Kansas University’s swimming and diving team won the Orange Bowl Classic on Tuesday.

The Jayhawks won 11 of 12 events and totaled 297.5 points, holding off George Mason (87 points) and Vermont (68.5).

Kuzhil won the 100-meter backstroke (1:04.06) and the 50-meter backstroke (29.49).

Johannessen won the 50-meter butterfly (28.67) and the 100-meter freestyle (57.37).
