KU men’s golf tied for third

? After two rounds, the Kansas University men’s golf team sat in a tie for third place at 583 on Monday at the Colorado Invitational.

The Jayhawks were seven strokes behind leader New Mexico and three strokes behind second-place Colorado State. Kansas is in a tie with San Diego State.

Senior Jeff Bell, who competed in his first tournament this season, paced the Jayhawks with a 143 after two rounds, which put him in sixth place individually.

The third and final round will begin at 8 a.m. today.
