KU volleyball falls to Colorado

? Kansas University’s volleyball team battled back from a two-set deficit to force a fifth set against Colorado, but it wasn’t enough as the Buffaloes prevailed, 3-2, on Saturday.

Colorado won, 25-23, 25-23, 13-25, 22-25, 15-13.

Junior Allison Mayfield led the Jayhawks with a season-high 20 kills.

The loss dropped KU to 10-5 and 1-3 in the Big 12. Colorado is 5-5 and 2-2.

Senior Karina Garlington added 14 kills, and sophomore middle blocker Tayler Tolefree chipped in with a career-high 13 kills on a team-best .444 attack percentage. For the match, KU outhit Colorado .227-.169.
