KU women’s golf in 10th in Sir Pizza Cards Challenge

? Freshman Thanuttra Boonraksasat is tied for 10th place, and Kansas University’s women’s golf team is in 11th place following Sunday’s first round of the Sir Pizza Cards Challenge.

Boonraksasat carded a 2-over-par 74.

KU junior Katy Nugent is tied for 16th with a first-round 76. Seniors Meghna Bal and Grace Thiry are tied for 53rd after 81s. Freshman Meghan Potee is tied for 59th with an 83.

Senior Jennifer Clark, competing as an individual, is tied for 69th after carding an 85.

The second round is today.

KU women’s golf 10th

? Grace Thiry and Meghna Bal shot 74s and were tied for 18th place, and Kansas University’s women’s golf team was in 10th place after the first round of Price’s Give ‘Em Five Invitational on Monday.

Other KU scores: Meghan Potee, competing as an individual, tied for 32nd, 76; and Jennifer Clark, Katy Nugent and Thanuttra Boonrakssat, tied for 41st, 77.

Baylor leads the team standings with 285. KU shot 302 as a team.

Bayor’s Jaclyn Jansen leads individuals with a 65.
