Kansas soccer honored for academics

Kansas University’s soccer team has earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s Team Academic Award for the eighth straight season.

Boasting a cumulative GPA of 3.05, coach Mark Francis’ team was one of 436 NCAA women’s soccer programs to earn the award, which is given annually to NCAA Div. I, II and III teams that post a GPA of 3.00 or higher.
