Kansas’ Barbee tied for 61st at golf regional

? Kansas University golfer Nate Barbee shot a 79 on Friday and is tied for 61st place after two rounds of play at the NCAA Southwest Golf Regional in Santee, Calif.

Barbee, a junior from Dakota Dunes, S.D., is competing in the event for KU as an individual.

Nick Delio of CSU-Northridge tops the individual leaderboard. Oregon holds the team lead.

Barbee will tee off at 11:10 a.m. today for his third and final round of the tournament, which is taking place at the Carlton Oaks Golf Course just outside of San Diego. Barbee will be grouped with Kyle Spencer of Oral Roberts University and Arkansas State University’s Lloyd du Preez.
