KU Athletics Director Lew Perkins announced Wednesday evening that he’s appointed Jennifer Berquist, associate director of the Williams Fund, as its interim director.
Berquist, who started at the Williams Fund in February 2002, earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in education from KU. She previously served as an intern for the Big Eight Conference, and spent four years as a compliance auditor at KU. She is a 2001 graduate of Leadership Lawrence.
“Jennifer has outstanding and varied experience in college athletics, and is a person of unquestioned integrity,” Perkins said, in a statement.
Berquist replaces Rodney Jones, assistant athletics director for the Williams Fund, who has been on administrative leave since early this month.
