KU’s McCray, Davis earn All-Big 12 recognition

By J-W Staff Reports     Mar 8, 2010

Danielle McCray earned second-team All-Big 12 honors despite missing more than half of the conference basketball season due to a knee injury.

McCray, a Kansas University senior, was a first-team selection last year, but missed nine of KU’s 16 Big 12 games this year.

League coaches also named KU forward Carolyn Davis to the All-Freshman team. Davis led KU in scoring and rebounding in Big 12 games with 12.5 points and 7.3 boards. She also led the league in field-goal percentage at .689.

Nebraska’s Connie Yori was named coach of the year, and the Cornhuskers’ Kelsey Griffin was tapped player of the year.
