KU women’s golf fifth at Duramed

? Senior Emily Powers fired a team-best 77 in the final round as she helped lead Kansas University to a fifth-place finish at the Duramed/Rio Verde Collegiate on Sunday.

Kansas recorded a third-round score of 317 to bring its tournament total to 917.

Michigan shot a three-day 881 to take team honors.

Meghna Bal tied for 15th to lead KU with 229. Other KU placings: Powers, tied for 21st, 231; Grace Thiry, tied for 28th, 233; and Jennifer Clark and Meghan Gockel, tied for 37th, 235.
