KU golfer named to all-region team

Kansas University golfer Nate Barbee was named to the PING All-Region team, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Wednesday. A total of 153 players from six regions were named to the teams. Barbee was one of 25 selected to the Central Region squad.

Barbee, a junior from Dakota Dunes, S.D., led the Jayhawks in scoring average at 72.12. He posted eight top-five finishes in 11 events, including earning medalist honors at the Kansas Invitational held at Alvamar Golf Club.
