KU swimmers compete at national meet

? Kansas University swimmers Abigail Anderson, Joy Bunting and Stephanie Payne and former Jayhawk Danielle Herrmann completed the first day of the 2010 ConocoPhillips National Championships.

Herrmann, Bunting and Payne all competed in the 200-meter IM. Herrmann, KU’s new volunteer assistant coach, placed 53rd with a personal record of 2:20.25. Bunting, a senior from Greeley, Colo., placed 71st with a PR of 2:21.71. Payne, a junior from Derby, placed 111th with a time of 2:24.76.

In the 100-meter butterfly, Anderson, a junior from Hendersonville, Tenn., placed 133rd with a PR of 1:04.62.
