Kansas tennis led by doubles teams

The Kansas tennis team finished day two of the Jayhawk Invitational with an undefeated doubles performance Saturday at First Serve Tennis Center.

In the No. 1 doubles spot, sophomore Ekaterina Morozova and freshman Sara Lazarevic posted wins against Saint Louis and Illinois State to finish the day 2-0.

Sophomore Erin Wilbert and freshman Victoria Khanevskaya, Kansas’ No. 2 doubles team, also finished the day 2-0 with victories against UMKC and Illinois State.

Junior Maria Martinez and sophomore Alessandra Dzuba teamed up in the No. 3 spot for the first time as they maintained the streak with a 2-0 finish, defeating two Saint Louis teams.

Kansas also proved victorious in singles play, finishing 5-2.

The last round of the KU Invitational is today at First Serve Tennis Center.
