KU golfer Gockel wins first match

Albany, Ga. ? Kansas women’s golfer Meghan Gockel won her first-round match at the Women’s Southern Golf Amateur on Tuesday.

Gockel, a senior to be at KU, defeated Meghan Green, 4 and 2, and will advance to play Carolyn Creekmore in the round of 16.
