Kansas University swimmer Maria Mayrovich was named the Big 12 Swimmer of the Week on Wednesday afternoon.
Mayrovich, a native of Novorossiysk, Russia, set a Robinson Natatorium record in the 100 freestyle in a double-dual against South Dakota and Northern Iowa.
The senior has been defeated only one time in 2009 — by teammate and two-time NCAA qualifier Danielle Herrmann.
