Kansas University’s women’s basketball team will entertain the No. 2-ranked team in the country tonight. Powerful Oklahoma, 21-2 overall and 9-0 in the Big 12, visits for a 7 p.m. tip in Allen Fieldhouse.

The Jayhawks, who defeated Colorado in their last home game, enter 13-9 overall and 2-7 in the league. KU is 0-4 versus ranked opponents.

The Sooners, who have won 10 straight games against KU, are led by senior All-American Courtney Paris, who averages 15.9 points and 13.5 rebounds a game. Paris has made 158 of 257 shots for 61.5 percent. She has also collected a team-best 54 blocks and dished 41 assists.

Senior forward Ashley Paris averages 13.9 points and 9.7 boards. Sophomore guard Danielle Robinson contributes 13.0 ppg.

KU junior guard/forward Danielle McCray enters with a 19.0 points per game average. She had just seven points in 19-foul plagued minutes earlier this week at Texas, snapping a string of six-straight outings of 20 or more points.

Freshman Aishah Sutherland has averaged 7.0 points and a team-best 7.0 rebounds in KU’s last five games.

KU enters as the league’s top three-point shooting team, connecting for 110 of 280 treys for 39.3 percent. That percentage ranks No. 4 in the country.

Sophomore Nicollette Smith tied a season-high with 18 points at Texas. Smith hit 3-of-7 shots from beyond the arc and also pulled down four rebounds. The 18-point performance was just one shy of her career best of 19 set versus Hartford last season.
