Kansas University on Tuesday announced the kickoff times and television schedule for the upcoming non-conference schedule to start the 2008 season.
The Jayhawks, coming off a 12-1 campaign and Orange Bowl championship, will play on national television twice in the non-con season.
The season opener, Aug. 30 at home against Florida International, will kick off at 6 p.m. and will not be televised. The following week, KU will kick off at 6 p.m. again against Louisiana Tech, and that game will be televised nationally on Fox Sports Network.
The Jayhawks’ one and only road non-conference tilt will come Sept. 12 at South Florida in Tampa. That Friday night game will kick off at 7 p.m. local time and is scheduled to air nationally on ESPN2.
KU’s final non-conference game, Sept. 20 at home against Sam Houston State, will kick off at 6 p.m. and won’t be televised.
It was also announced that the Nov. 29 Border War game between Kansas and Missouri, which will take place at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City for the second straight year, will be carried on the air by FSN. That game will kick off at either 11:30 a.m. or 2:00 p.m.
